Tilly is 14 Months Old

Little Miss Tilly is 14 months old, who can believe it? Not me! The time has gone by so very fast. Though it has been quite a process, her molars are officially here! Tilly is walking everywhere, and she really loves to dance and stomp her feet! Keeping the trend going with the girls in our family, Tilly is notorious for climbing. The ladies who watch Tilly during the day have told David repeatedly when he picks her up that they cannot keep her on the floor! Thankfully, Tilly is an awesome eater. We have yet to find something that she does not like. She does a great job of feeding herself and does not wish for us to assist her in any way. Sleeping 12-14 hours every night, Tilly is by far the best sleeper in the house. Our girl loves to sleep! We will ask her if she is ready to go night night, and she will take our hand and lead us to her room! Precious! We are so thankful for the blessing of our little Tilly. She continues to delight us and bring much joy to our home. Carter and Summer absolutely adore her, Mommy and Daddy do too!

These are a couple of pictures I took of our little one while we were playing outside this week!

Show & Tell

Every Friday at The Heiskell School is show and tell. My oldest two children look forward to this day with great anticipation. In fact, many times throughout the week, Carter will ask me if it is time for show and tell yet! Some days there is a theme to the show and tell. The themes vary according to seasons, what the children are learning, or whatever they want to bring! Today's theme was to bring whatever you like, so we did! Summer proudly brought one of her favorite baby dolls. This baby doll does not yet have a name, so we just call her, "Baby." Enjoy these pictures of my sweet girl with her baby.

Mother Goose

Today was Nursery Rhyme day for the Explorers at The Heiskell School. Explorers of all shapes and sizes dressed up as a nursery rhyme character and paraded around the school for all to see. Our little explorer, Carter, was excited to take part in this special day. Mommy and Daddy racked their brains the week before trying to be clever, but we did not seem to have much cleverness to spare this week, so we donned our little fella in his pjs with his pillow and favorite Georgia blanket in hand for the following nursery rhyme!

Bedtime

Bedtime - Mother Goose

The Man in the Moon looked out of the moon,
Looked out of the moon and said,
"'Tis time for all children, on the earth
To think about getting to bed!"

Batter Up!

Tonight, David took Carter to his first baseball game, just the boys! The girls and I stayed home with good intentions of painting our toes, but we just lounged around in our PJs instead! It was the last game of the fall ball season for the South Cobb High School Eagles. SCHS made a presentation to our church in the form of a donation to help flood victims in our area. Not only was David presented with a generous gift, but Carter was asked to throw out the first pitch! Not too shabby for his first baseball game with Daddy! David was so impressed with the boys on the baseball team and the coaches too. They really went over and beyond to welcome David and play with Carter. My little fella came home quite excited about his first game and his special night with Daddy. So thankful for both of my sweet boys!

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Today, October 16th, is a special day for our family! We are celebrating David's dad's birthday! He is better known at our house as Papa. In honor of the birthday boy, we put together a slideshow of some favorite pictures of Papa with our family. Thank you for being a wonderful father to David and me and for being an awesome grandfather to Carter, Summer, and Tilly. Happy birthday! We wish we could be with you to help you celebrate and we hope your special day is full of all things that bring you joy! We love you and miss you!

Have you seen it? It's worth checking out!

The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry is one of the most touching films ever! It presents the gospel of Jesus Christ in a straight forward and inspiring manner. A must for everybody.” Chris Cambas, Tampa Bay Christian

The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry is cleverly crafted to slowly draw you in. Suddenly, what seemed ordinary becomes extraordinary, and very powerful. If you care about the lost, you will love this movie.” Ray Comfort, Speaker/Writer, Living Waters

The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry is a movie that desperately needs to be seen, embraced, and lived out by the church. This powerful movie casts a vision that God can and will use ordinary people to reach others for Christ and advance His Kingdom. The production, acting, and musical score were excellent . . . providing the perfect complement to its powerful message! This movie will motivate the believer and will be a compelling witness to those who don’t yet know Christ. I strongly recommend it!” Dr. Greg Dills, Senior Pastor,First Baptist Church, Matthews, NC

“All I can say is WOW! .This movie had me weeping and moved me to conviction. I felt God’s anointing through out. Excellent from an outreach perspective and convicted me personally as well. It made me question whether I was actually doing all that I could to spread the gospel in my own community. Perfect casting and high quality filming. I believe you have a movie that will speak to both the non-believer and the believer alike.” Pastor Frank Rodgers,Harvest Community Church, Fairfield, CA

Sweet Moments with a Sweet Baby

I heart this picture of me with my baby girl! This was taken at Tilly's first birthday party by my sweet teaching partner, Erica! Being a mommy of three who are three and under, teaching third grade and being a pastor's wife, I sometimes feel like I miss out on doing life with the children. They are at such an impressionable age and they are changing every single day. David and I work hard to make the most of our family time and I am so thankful to be married to a man who is all about his family! We couldn't have a better daddy and husband! This week, I was blessed with two sweet, sweet moments with baby Tilly. I know, two in the same week! Carter, Summer, and I ride together to and from school everyday, so it seems I spend more time with them than my smallest one. The first one happened on Tuesday night. She is still taking a bottle at night, so I got her up to feed her a little before 8:00. She was so thirsty she drank it all up real quick like! Then, she turned to me, lovey in had, curled up in a ball in my chest and promptly went back to sleep! It was awesome! I did what any good Mommy would do - I rocked her, I kissed her, I loved on her until my arms started to hurt from her dead weight! What a sweet, sweet moment! The second one happened last night. David and I made the executive decision to keep Tilly home from church because she did not take a nap at her daycare yesterday (we are thankful for our new daycare, but it is not Miss Jeanne) and because life is better for all when Tilly goes to bed by 6:00 P.M. Tilly and I shared a meal of Popeye's chicken and let me tell you my little girl loves some chicken fried! She could not get enough! It is only fitting since we named her after our time in New Orleans and Popeye's originated there. After supper, we had the best time playing and laughing and kissing! Thank you, Lord, for these sweet moments with my children!

Happy Fall Y'all

Fall is here y'all and we are lovin' it! Fall means cheerin' for the Dawgs on Saturdays, pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks, riding with the windows down, turning off the AC, gorgeous blue skies, leaves turning colors, Mama's sweet potato pie, high school football games, the start of basketball season, apple cider, pumpkins, scarecrows, hay rides, baseball world series, fall festivals, and Cowboy/Cowgirl Day at The Heiskell School. Today, was that Day for us. Last night, I carefully picked out our cowboy and cowgirl duds and this morning we quickly dressed two excited little people for the big day! Teachers were able to join in on the fun too. Who is going to turn down a day to wear jeans to school? Not me! With blue jeans, button down shirts, boots, and braided pigtails for Mommy we were ready to go! Carter and Summer were so excited. In fact, tonight in our prayer/praise time Carter insisted that we give thanks for the cowboys coming to school today! He said, "They were like kings, Mommy!" Thank you, Lord, for fun days and fun memories with these precious little people of mine! Check out our must-have pictures with the scarecrows AKA snowmen at our house! Happy Fall Y'all!

These two love each other so much!

Cheesing with the scarecrows!
SO excited for Cowboy day at school!

What a super fun day!
