Happy 7 months, sweet Story!
We can hardly believe another month has gone by. You are growing up way too fast, and often we just wish time would halt for a moment or just slow down. It has been another busy month for you. Thankfully, we have not had to go to the doctor this month, so we don't know your stats, but we are thankful that you are healthy, so we can wait another couple of months to find out just how big you are getting!
- You are wearing mostly 12 month clothes, some 9 months clothes still work, but not for long. You are wearing size 3 diapers of the cruiser variety because you are all over the place.
- Your hair is light brown and seems to be growing faster than the other children's hair grew.
- You have bright blue eyes and gorgeous eyelashes.
- You still only have the two teeth on the bottom.
- You have started to talk a lot. You favorite thing to say is bye bye bye bye bye. Tilly loves it because she thinks you are only talking to her!
- You love kisses and you love to laugh!
- You LOVE to eat! We have had to slow down on your baby food to make sure you are getting enough formula. You eat a bottle at 8am when you wake up, and then you have oatmeal or yo baby for breakfast between 9-10. You eat another bottle with rice cereal at 12 pm and then again at 4 pm. At 5 pm (0n the dot most days because it's like you have an internal clock that goes off!) you have supper which consists of a vegetable mixed with rice cereal. So far, we have only introduced you to the yellow vegetables. We are going to start the green ones when I am home for Christmas break and can make some more food. You really enjoy sweet potatoes and squash. You also love the Mum Mum crackers, the plain ones, not the vegetable ones so much, ha!
- You are a wonderful sleeper. You take a morning nap between breakfast and your noon bottle. You take your longest nap in the afternoon between 1-4 pm. We put you to bed at 6 pm and barely wake you at 8pm for your last bottle. After that you sleep until about 8 am the next morning! You have a music box attached to your crib that Gigi bought for Tilly and you love it. Tilly does too. Sometimes she climbs out of her crib to turn it back on for you.
- You are a thumb sucker for sure, and I'm not sure how I feel about that, ha! Your daddy says it's my fault because I wouldn't let you have the pacifier. Every time we lay you down to sleep, you crawl to the corner of the crib, roll over on your tummy, put your thumb in your mouth and you are out!
- This month, we celebrated your first Thanksgiving and Daddy's birthday. Papa and Gigi were here from Arkansas, so that made it extra special. You also got to visit T after her surgery. Mommy failed to get a picture though. Mama was there too! It's pretty special and rare for you to see all of your grandparents in a single month!
- You went with us to pick out our Christmas tree. It was so very cold, and your little red nose is proof of that!
- We managed to get a picture of the four of you with Papa and Gigi while they were here. This was about take 30 or so. Summer and Tilly wore this same dress for their first Christmas, so it's pretty special!
- You have the sweetest, most content personality. You love to smile and laugh. The only times you seem to get fussy are when you are tired and hungry. I think you get that from daddy, ha!
- The biggest milestone for you this month is you are on the move. You have learned to crawl and you are loving it. We can't keep you still. Right now, you love to crawl up to the Christmas tree and bat the ornaments like a cat. We have to keep a close eye on you, Story!
- We took you to a breakfast with Santa at a church where Daddy used to serve. It was so great to introduce you to our old church family. They loved getting to see you and your brother and sisters.
- You got to experience your first pink pig, sort of. You hung out with Daddy while I rode around with the others. You can only fit two to a seat, and Tilly was just not ready to ride alone yet, ha!And here's the monthly picture of the four of you. Story, your brother and sisters just adore you. They are so helpful with you, love to play with you, and just enjoy being wherever you are. Thank you for adding so much joy and laughter and fun to our home! You are one of the greatest gifts that we are most thankful for this year. We love you to the moon and back!
