Our last day at Disney!

Our family opted to spend one extra day at the Disney parks than the rest of our group, and I'm so thankful we did.  We had the best day!
Before the Calhouns and the O'Dells hit the road or the air, I should say, we enjoyed one last character meal at Cape May Cafe.
And then we had a good-bye photo shoot outside before everyone went their separate ways.
All the grandchildren with Papa and Gigi.
The Calhouns with Papa and Gigi.
Our party of six with Papa and Gigi.
We are so very thankful for these two!  Our Disney trip would not have been possible without them.  It was such a great week! Once we said our good-byes, we headed back over to Magic Kingdom for one last day of Disney fun.
Our first Fast Pass was to Enchanted Tales with Belle.  I loved it! We did not have a Fast Pass to this one on our first Disney trip, and the lines were always way too long to wait! It was so great!
Every child had a part in her story, and everyone got a picture with Belle at the end.
 First the girls.
And then Carter. He was such a great sport seeing all these princesses.  The Lord sure knew what he was doing when he made this fella the big brother to three sisters!  He is such a good big brother!
We caught one last show on the main stage.
And grabbed one more family picture in front of the castle.  Then, we used our hopper pass for the first time and hopped on the monorail and headed over to Epcot.
We wanted to get Papa and Gigi a thank you gift for taking us on such a wonderful trip, and we noticed that Gigi had been eyeing some Coke glasses earlier in the week.
We enjoyed a few samples while we were there! When we left the Coke place, we ran over to Paris because there was a coffee mug I wanted to commemorate our time at Epcot.  We also enjoyed Fish and Chips for lunch and some Gelato from Italy.  Epcot definitely has the best food for quick service meals by far!
While we were on our way to Paris, I ran into one of my sweet college friends.  Laura and her family were just beginning their Disney vacation.  It was so much fun to see her!  I grew up with her husband in elementary school, and then all three of us ended up at UGA for college.  Laura and I both graduated from Grady college, we worked together at the off campus bookstore, were both involved in the BSU, and we played on the winning co-ed intramural flag football team!  So many fun memories with this girl!
We also grabbed some more caramel popcorn from Germany to snack on the rest of the day.  And then, we had a little photo shoot, ha!
Everyone wanted their picture taken on the blue wall!
 Sweet Summer.
 And Story's little pose ;)
And Tilly.  We hopped back on the monorail and headed back to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day.
With it being a Friday and the start of a new weekend, the lines were really long at Magic Kingdom this day.  We mostly only used our Fast Passes.  We did manage to squeeze in another ride on the tea cups, and lucky me got to ride twice ;)
And then came, one of the moments we had waited all week for.  We got to meet Elsa and Anna.  Sigh.  They were all soo excited!  Even Carter!
I absolutely adore how sweet Story is staring up at Elsa.  So precious.
And how funny is Carter here! He's trying to get a real good look at Anna! Ha! I'm so thankful we got to meet these princesses.  It was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip!
We finished off the day with one last electric light parade, Wishes and fireworks.  So fun!
And then we said good-bye to Magic Kingdom til next time! Thank you, Papa and Gigi for a perfectly magical week!  We loved our time at Disney!

Magic Kingdom!

So, here's how the Disney recaps will go: I will do one post per park, one post for character meals, and one post with our favorite rides and fast pass suggestions.  We went to Magic Kingdom on Saturday, Wednesday, and our family went one more time on Friday.  I will do a separate post for that one since it was our very last day at Disney.  .
Ok, so let me start by saying that we chose to drive ourselves to and from the park each day.  After our last trip, we just learned that it was much easier not to have to get on and off of the buses, but more importantly, we never had to stand in the long lines to wait for the buses.  Much easier just to drive in our opinion.  Here we are entering MK, and you can tell it is raining.  Sad, but not to worry, we were headed to breakfast, and it was supposed to clear up by mid-morning!
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's, more about this in my character meal post.
Entering Magic Kingdom for the first time.  In addition to going with David's parents, David's sister and her family went with us to Disney, too.  It was their very first time to go as a family, so it was very fun to experience it with them!  Cari's husband, Cory, is not in this picture from some reason.  I think maybe he had to run back to the car.
These two had the most fun on the rides together!
 Sweet girls.
Here we are outside of the Haunted Mansion.  One of our dear friends from church, Miss Andie, made our shirts for us, and we just love them!
Cinderella's castle.  It just takes your breath away!
Our first night at MK, we got to see the electric light parade, and I was so thankful because on our last trip we missed it every time because of our schedule for the week.
One of our very favorite things of the week was seeing Wishes and the firework show outside of Cinderella's castle each night we were in the Magic Kingdom.  Story had these light up mouse ears, that would play in time with the music for Wishes, so cool!
We went back to MK on Wednesday, after hitting up all the other parks.  This time, we made it early enough to see all of the characters ride in on the train.  It may or may not have been because we thought the park opened an hour earlier than it really did, but I'm not saying for sure.  At any rate, we loved seeing this!  This was also something we missed seeing on our first trip, so it was a treat!
As you can tell, we were very close and had a great view of all the characters!
We got to meet Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.  The girls' dresses were a Christmas gift from Aunt Cari, and they came from Target.  I loved dressing the children in similar if not matching clothing each day, as it made it very easy for them to be spotted.
With my prince charming in front of Cinderella's castle.
 Two of my princesses.
 And my littlest princess.
The Sword and the Stone, again something we missed on our first visit.  I wonder how many times you can go and find something new that you missed?
One of my favorite pictures of our family right outside of the Christmas Shoppe.  We took a picture in this same spot on our first visit and tried to pose ourselves the same way!
We were sad to find that a lot of the parks have done away with their parades.  In fact, every park has except for MK.  However, as a way to make up for that, they have a new parade that is just wonderful with so many characters.  Elsa and Anna are definite favorites at our house!
And Cinderella!  Speaking of, have you seen the movie yet?  So, so good.  I loved it so very much!
 These two scheming and plotting!
 With Buzz.
The Incredibles have a dance party in Tomorrowland with all of their friends.  I adore this picture of Story dancing with Mrs. Incredible.
Our character meal this day was at the Crystal Palace.
And once again we got to see Wishes and the Fireworks.  Magic Kingdom is definitely one of my favorites.  I think if you're planning to spend at week at Disney, this is definitely a park you should hit up more than once! Next up, Hollywood Studios!
