Looking for spring.

When I taught third grade at Heiskell, we used to read a story about two little boys who were looking for spring.  I love the story about King Shabazz and Tony Polito looking around their city for signs of spring.  We've been doing a lot of that ourselves.  Here's what we've been up to so far this spring.

David and Carter went to a USM baseball game.  Nothing quite says spring like baseball, don't you think?  Can't you hear the sound of the ball hitting the bat and smell the hot dogs?

Our church sponsored a family fun day for our weekday preschool and the homeschooler's co-op, which meets at our church each Monday.  What a fun time of playing on the bounce houses, eating hot dogs, and drinking juice!
We've been planting seeds and watching them grow.  Carter planted this grass at school and was so excited to bring it home.  He's given it a hair cut and carefully watered it!  We also planted our garden, but there's a whole post devoted to the garden.  Spring is definitely here in south Mississippi.  The days are longer, the sun is hotter, and we are just loving spending time outside together as a family.  Over the next few weeks, we will enjoy hunting Easter Eggs, running in a 5K, getting together with friends, singing in spring musicals at school, celebrating some birthdays, and preparing for the end of school and summertime!
