Thursday, July 17, our Summer girl turned 7! We got to celebrate her special day at the beach. How much fun is that!
We took a picture of Summer with the susnset on her last night as a six year old!

On the day of Summer's actual birthday, we spent the day at the pool and the beach and had a wonderful day. Usually for birthdays, we allow the children to choose where we eat for supper. Since we were at the beach, we allowed Summer to choose what we ate for supper. She chose her very favorite, steak, so that's just what we did. After supper we sang the birthday song and enjoyed doughnuts for dessert. Summer opened the rest of her presents, too. Her favorite present was her Lily & Laura bracelet. She has been asking for one for months, so we got her one! She was so very proud!
One last birthday surprise for Summer was I planned for her to be able to FaceTime her friend Sydney, who is living in Nicaragua with her family serving as missionaries. Summer was so very excited to talk to her special friend on her special day! Happy birthday, Summer! We love you to the moon and back a whole bunch of times!
