So, here's how the Disney recaps will go: I will do one post per park, one post for character meals, and one post with our favorite rides and fast pass suggestions. We went to Magic Kingdom on Saturday, Wednesday, and our family went one more time on Friday. I will do a separate post for that one since it was our very last day at Disney. .
Ok, so let me start by saying that we chose to drive ourselves to and from the park each day. After our last trip, we just learned that it was much easier not to have to get on and off of the buses, but more importantly, we never had to stand in the long lines to wait for the buses. Much easier just to drive in our opinion. Here we are entering MK, and you can tell it is raining. Sad, but not to worry, we were headed to breakfast, and it was supposed to clear up by mid-morning!
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's, more about this in my character meal post.
Entering Magic Kingdom for the first time. In addition to going with David's parents, David's sister and her family went with us to Disney, too. It was their very first time to go as a family, so it was very fun to experience it with them! Cari's husband, Cory, is not in this picture from some reason. I think maybe he had to run back to the car.
These two had the most fun on the rides together!
Sweet girls.
Here we are outside of the Haunted Mansion. One of our dear friends from church, Miss Andie, made our shirts for us, and we just love them!
Cinderella's castle. It just takes your breath away!
Our first night at MK, we got to see the electric light parade, and I was so thankful because on our last trip we missed it every time because of our schedule for the week.
One of our very favorite things of the week was seeing Wishes and the firework show outside of Cinderella's castle each night we were in the Magic Kingdom. Story had these light up mouse ears, that would play in time with the music for Wishes, so cool!
We went back to MK on Wednesday, after hitting up all the other parks. This time, we made it early enough to see all of the characters ride in on the train. It may or may not have been because we thought the park opened an hour earlier than it really did, but I'm not saying for sure. At any rate, we loved seeing this! This was also something we missed seeing on our first trip, so it was a treat!
As you can tell, we were very close and had a great view of all the characters!
We got to meet Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. The girls' dresses were a Christmas gift from Aunt Cari, and they came from Target. I loved dressing the children in similar if not matching clothing each day, as it made it very easy for them to be spotted.
With my prince charming in front of Cinderella's castle.
Two of my princesses.
And my littlest princess.
The Sword and the Stone, again something we missed on our first visit. I wonder how many times you can go and find something new that you missed?
One of my favorite pictures of our family right outside of the Christmas Shoppe. We took a picture in this same spot on our first visit and tried to pose ourselves the same way!
We were sad to find that a lot of the parks have done away with their parades. In fact, every park has except for MK. However, as a way to make up for that, they have a new parade that is just wonderful with so many characters. Elsa and Anna are definite favorites at our house!
And Cinderella! Speaking of, have you seen the movie yet? So, so good. I loved it so very much!
These two scheming and plotting!
With Buzz.
The Incredibles have a dance party in Tomorrowland with all of their friends. I adore this picture of Story dancing with Mrs. Incredible.
Our character meal this day was at the Crystal Palace.
And once again we got to see Wishes and the Fireworks. Magic Kingdom is definitely one of my favorites. I think if you're planning to spend at week at Disney, this is definitely a park you should hit up more than once! Next up, Hollywood Studios!
