Audubon Zoo, New Orleans.

Apparently, our family is zoo hopping this summer!  We've spent several days at the zoo here in our town, and Saturday, we went to the zoo in New Orleans with some of our church family.  It was such a fun day!
At Zoo Atlanta, the flamingos are the first thing you see.  The same is true for NOLA!  Aren't they so pretty?
The elephants really put on a show!  So fun to watch.
Story really liked the elephants.  I wish I could type the way she said it, really cute.
Audubon Zoo has a lot more animals than the Hattiesburg Zoo, so it was fun for the children to see so many different animals.  We saw lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, monkeys, orangutans, gorillas, reptiles galore, and lots more.
A group shot of some of our sweet friends from church.  We had such a fun time with them!
This little baby orangutan really put on a show for us.
The momma finally decided to show us what she could do.  She took this piece of plastic over to her rope swing, so she could sit on it!  How clever!
The sea lions were another favorite.  We were able to be there during their feeding and show.  Sushi, the sea lion, showed off some of her tricks for the audience.
The fountains were just too enticing.  I kept wondering who would be the first to go in, ha!
This little cutie was so much fun to watch.  She excitedly went from exhibit to exhibit.  How sweet is her little ponytail?  Love!
About 10 minutes before this picture was taken, I ran into one of my college friends!  What fun!  It was so great to see Stephanie and hug her neck.  I got to meet her cute little family, too.  Then, the rain came.  We were soaked!  Kind of like the giraffes.
We ate lunch in the swamp, and then decided we needed to dry off a bit ;)
By the time we finished lunch, the rain was gone, and it was much cooler!  Look at those cuties caught in the net!
It was necessary to make one more wish at the fountain before we left!
So thankful for a fun day with my party of six.  So thankful for a sweet time of fellowship with our church friends.  So thankful to see an old friend if even for a minute.  So thankful.
