A couple of weeks ago, David had a conference in Atlanta for the weekend, so we opted to hitch a ride to Georgia with him. We even had another brave soul, Miss Stephanie, join us for the ride.
Those who know us well, know that we don't play on road trips, so our first stop was not until Birmingham for lunch at Full Moon BBQ. This handsome fella. I love that he asked me to take his picture. He knows how much I love it!
Not too many hours later, we were at our hotel in Alpharetta and got to see this pretty thing, Miss Emily. Emily is a long time friend of mine and David's, and we love that her sister Miss Stephanie is now on staff at our church! How fun! It was such a treat to see this pretty face and hug her neck, more than once! Friday night, David's conference began, so the children and I vegged out in our hotel room, and can I just say that we had the best time!! We ate CFA on the floor, so we didn't get anything on the pretty white beds, and then we stayed up (way too) late to watch not one, but two great movies! It was so much fun. We watched The Guardians and Dolphin Tale, both really great!
Saturday morning, David dropped us off at Northpoint Mall before he headed over to FBC Woodstock for his conference. We met up with my mom and Hart for some playtime and Starbucks. I definitely was in need of some Starbucks after a late night and early morning, ha!
Carter and Summer are really way too tall for the mall playgrounds, but thankfully we were there early enough that there weren't too many other mommas to give me dirty looks for being that momma, eek!
Handsome boy.
Ever the little one with no fear.
A selfie with Mulan. She goes wherever we go.
Sweet sisters sharing a Sprite.
About 10 we headed over to the Diner to meet up with the Holland family for brunch. The Holland girls didn't know that we were going to be there, so they were in for a big surprise! So fun!
Sweet cousins. Carter handles being way out-numbered by so many girls like a champ. He will be an awesome husband one day!
And one more outside where the lighting was a little better.
Haleigh gave Summer a gift card to the American Girl store to buy a new outfit for Saige, and they got to meet the new AG Isabelle, so fun!
On the way back to Hattiesburg, we stopped at the ORIGINAL Dreamland BBQ in Tuscaloosa. It was awesome!
We made it home in time to take bubble baths and get ready for church the next day! What a fun and crazy whirlwind of a trip!
