Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and home!

On Thursday morning, we loaded up and headed north on I95 with Philadelphia being our destination for lunch.
When planning our trip, we really hoped to make it to NYC for a day.  However, by the end of our trip, we decided that we would save that for another time.  Sigh.  A big part of me really wanted to go. . .
There were several things we wanted to do in Philadelphia, and eating a cheese steak was high on our list!
And that's just what we did! I really wanted to see the Liberty Bell while we were in Philly, so we left the restaurant and walked a couple of blocks to the sight of the Bell.  What I didn't realize is that the Liberty Bell is actually located in a museum, and the line to get in was so long.  And it started raining, ha!  So, we ditched the Bell and hit the road.
David surprised us by detouring through Hershey, PA.  My sweet grandmother visited Hershey, PA years ago, and she would tell me over and over about how we needed to go.  It was so much fun to call her and tell her where we were!
We were so excited!!  We went through Chocolate World and purchased a few treats from the store.  It was so much fun!  Pennsylvania is beautiful! We loved driving through the countryside.  Upon leaving Hershey, we drove as far as we could, and somewhere in West Virginia, the interstate was closed down, so we thought that was a great place to stop for the night.  The next morning, we got up, enjoyed a continental breakfast, and headed home!
So, there you have it! 2500+ miles, 9 states and countless memories!
