Back to school, 2011.

Last night after church, we took the children to Dairy Queen to get a treat in honor of school starting back.  Our favorite treat of choice is the infamous dipped cone.  Maybe because we have not introduced our children to the blizzards, ha!  We're on a budget, people!
I just don't know if it gets better than this!

Carter was quite excited about his ice cream.

I love the way Tilly eats ice cream.  She enjoys it thoroughly!
You will notice Story is missing.  That would be because she and I were hiding in the car.  Story loves ice cream, I mean she loves it.  You would think we would have learned to just give hers to her first, but we didn't, and she threw a screaming fit in the middle of DQ.  It was awesome.  All the after church people in there staring, wondering what I could have possibly done to this poor child to make her scream so much.  Yeah, real awesome.  Hince the hiding in the car.
This morning, I drove this handsome fella to school.  Look how excited he is.  I love this picture because he is looking over at his daddy, who is standing in the door way waiting to pray for us.
Here he is outside the building of his new school.  There's another post coming on that, but here's the skinny.  I get to be a stay at home mom for the first time ever.  Ever.  We have been working towards this for the last 5 years.  The big 3 will be attending FBC (that's First Baptist Church, for all you non-baptists out there, ha!) Powder Springs.  We are so thankful for this amazing opportunity they have, not only to interact with children their age, but also to learn in a Christ-centered environment.
I got to walk Carter into the building to the door of his classroom.  I wonder how long before he stops holding my hand as we walk into school?
And there's our big boy unpacking his bag all by himself getting ready to start a brand new day at a brand new place!  Oh, Carter, how we pray this is a wonderful school year for you.  We pray that you will continue to grow in knowledge of Him, and we pray that you will do your very best, as though working for the Lord.  We love you, buddy!
