On the very first day of summer break, we made a bucket list of things that we wanted to do over the summer. I will have several installments on here throughout the summer of us striving to check items off of our bucket list.
One of our favorite things to do since moving to Arkansas is to ride bikes. We have never had anywhere to ride before, and all four of our little ones have really enjoyed it. Twice now, we have ridden along the riverfront in Little Rock and had the most fun!
We celebrated this cutie's last day as an 8 year old.
For just a little over two weeks every year, our children are four years in a row. This year, we had a 5, 6, 7, & 8 year old! Too fun!
It's so hard to believe that we have a NINE year old in our house!
We went berry picking with some new friends, and that was such a treat.
We picked the most delicious raspberries and blueberries. What you won't see a picture of is Carter losing all of his raspberries later in the car, eeekk! I think he ate too many! Such fun memories we are making, ha!
At the berry farm, there were animals to look at and awesome swings for our enjoyment!
Another day, we met some sweet church friends at Splash Zone in our town.
Most schools are not quite out in our area, so we had the place almost to ourselves for a while.
The big 3 had so much fun going down the big slides over and over again! This splash is Summer.
There's Carter.
And Tilly looking way too cool in her black swim goggles! We loved our time at Splash Zone.
This summer, I made my first bullet proof coffee. The pioneer woman talks about this, but I followed the recipe from a friend on IG, and I loved it. I made mine with coconut oil and ghee, so it's paleo and Whole30 compliant. It's delicious and very filling! I will be modifying this all summer long, I am sure!
We went back to the river front for another bike ride. The children mostly rode the four miles we completed, and we were so proud of them!
They did park their bikes for a bit and walked across the bridge. As you can see, the weather was just beautiful!
We've had a little trouble with our pool being open in our neighborhood, so last weekend, we headed over to Papa and Gigi's house to enjoy the pool and splash pad in their town.
Plan B turned out to be pretty awesome if I do say so myself! So far, our summer is off to a great start! Soon, our family will be traveling lots, so stay tuned for more summer fun with our party of six!
