Happy 21 months, Story!

Somebody please tell me the time is going to slow.  I know better though, it does not.  In fact, it seems to go faster and faster with each little one we have.  The last 21 months of Story's little life have just flown.
Story, I feel like you have grown and changed so very much over the last 3 months.  Let's see what you've been up to.
You have some favorite things that you love eat:  cheetos, cheerios, pbj, chicken nuggets, cheese, grapes, blueberries, bananas, cookies, turkey, green beans, hamburgers, hot dogs, so many things! You are doing a great job feeding yourself with utensils.

  •  You love love love to sleep!  You have given up your morning nap, mostly because we made you, ha!  During the day, you run errands with me, and you usually fall asleep in the car during car pool to pick up your brother and sisters.
  • At night, you go to sleep between 630-700 and sleep until 730 or so the next morning, depending on when you and Tilly decide to start a party in your room.
  • At night, when I am putting you to bed, you like for me to cover you up.  You say, "Up!"  It's the sweetest thing.  Ever.

  • This food item needed it's own post.  You most favorite thing to eat is doughnuts.  You call them "no nuts."  We pass by Krispy Kreme often and you point and shout!  Every Sunday morning, Miss Carolyn has a doughnut hole waiting for you when you get to class.

  •  You love to go outside.  You love to play on the playground and see Hundley.  You have a love/hate relationship with him.  You love to see him and talk to him, but you do not want him anywhere near you unless you are being held.

  • You got your first black eye.  You hit it in your crib, and then you bumped the very same place again just a couple of days later.  You are SO tough.  You rarely cry when you fall or get hurt, you just hop right up and keep going.  I think you're afraid you are going to miss out!

  •  You are talking so much.  You ask questions, talk in sentences, and repeat most things we say.  We think you are talking more than your siblings did at this age.  Some of our favorite things you say:  I go? Tilly. Hundley. Holla!  Yea dawg.  Doughnuts.

  •  You are so much fun!  You laugh hard and often.  You love to play with your brother and sisters. You think you can do everything they can do.  You know when they have something you don't and you know everything they are doing and you want to do it, too.
  • You like to sing!  If we ask you to sing a song, you belt one out.  We have no idea what you are singing most of the time.  You sing along with the radio.
  • Your favorite song is "Baby Bumblebee."  You can be throwing a fit (yes, you do that!) and we will start singing that song and you just smile and laugh.  You sing along.  You favorite parts are "Ouch, stung me!" And "Ew, yucky!"  So cute!

  •  Your hair is growing fast.  It's light brown, much lighter than Summer's and even Tilly's.  It's curly at the bottom.  We have not cut it yet, but I think it would be good to cut it soon to help it grow faster.

  •  You love baths!  Love them, especially if your sisters join you.  All I have to do is say bubble, and you run to the bathroom.
  • Bathing the three of you together is hard work!  For real!

  • You are a cuddle bug, and I love love love that.  Mostly, you like to cuddle with daddy, but I'm growing on you, I can tell!
  • You had your first ear infection this month.  This was also the first time you've been on antibiotics, and you've responded to them very well.  Sunday afternoon you just weren't feeling well, and you had a low grade fever.  Monday morning you had a yucky cough, so I took you in to see Dr. B.  You had a double ear infection.  He prescribed amoxicillin.  You've been a great patient, and after 24 hours, you were a new baby!  We are thankful for your good health.  Happy 21 months, sweet girl!  We love you so very much.  It's hard to believe that soon you will be two.

Here's the monthly picture of our fabulous four.  We took y'all to Hattiesburg's first Mardi Gras parade on Thursday night, so there's definitely more to come.
