Happy 15 months, Story!

Happy 15 months, sweet Story!
A lot has happened in the last 3 months since you turned ONE.
  • You are wearing size 18 month clothes, but we're thinking it won't be long until you are in 24 months and 2T.  You wear size 4 diapers.  Your shoe size is almost a 5, your 4s are too small, and 5 seems a little big.
  • We don't know your measurements yet, but we go to see Dr. G next week, so it will be great to see how much you've grown.
  • We are so thankful at how healthy you (and your siblings) have been this summer.  We haven't had to have any sick check-ups, and we're ever so thankful!
  • You have 12 teeth, including all of your first year molars.
  • You are a mover and a shaker.  In early June you just took off walking like a champ.  You had been taking steps here and there, but you just really got it during the week of VBS at our church.
  • You love to climb!  You must have some serious upper body strength, too, because you pull yourself up onto things that are super high!  We have to keep our eyes on you at all times.
  • You love to play outside.  If we ever leave the backdoor unattended, you quickly try to make a run for it.
  • You love to swing.  We tried out the swing at the park and at our neighbor's house this summer, and you loved it!
  • You love to carry a pocketbook and wave bye bye.  My mommy heart knows only too well, I will blink and you 3 girls will be leaving the house with your purses and cars, oh my!
  • You are so busy, and you try to hard to keep up with the big 3.
  • Speaking of the big 3, they LOVE you!  They love to help me with you.  Carter's favorite thing to do is to get you out of your crib in the mornings.  Tilly loves to climb into bed with you, still.  Summer loves to pick you up and carry you around.
  • You are talking up a storm.  Your vocabulary seems to have grown so much this summer.  You say:  daddy, momma, Tilly, bye bye, hey, bubble, Gigi, Papa, Mama, T, ball, baby, ba ( milk), water, sit, puppy, and balloon.
  • You follow one step directions:  go get your lovey, put this in the trash, pick up your cup, hold my hand, etc.  It amazes me how much you already understand!
  • You know these body parts:  hand, mouth, nose, face.  In fact, those are the only ones we have talked about, and you've picked up on it very quickly.
  • You are very friendly and you love to wave hi to people and blow kisses.  I wonder if you will become more reserved like Carter and Summer or continue with your outgoing personality like Tilly.  We shall see!
  • Story, you are a screamer.  It is not my favorite of your attributes, but it's definitely worth making note of.  You scream when you are happy, sad, mad, excited, any emotion you can think of really.  We don't know how to make you stop either.  David says we went through this phase with all of the other children, but I don't remember.  What a blessing!
  • You also love to laugh and giggle, it's so cute.  You love it when I kiss your neck or blow raspberries on your tummy.
  • You love to give kisses, especially the eskimo kind.
  • This summer we traveled quite a bit.  We went to the beach in June with the O'Dell family.  In July, we traveled to Arkanas, while Daddy and Carter went to Wyoming on a mission trip.  You did not travel so well on those two trips, which kind of surprised us because as an infant you always rode really well.  One item in our bag of tricks often became Daddy's sweet tea, ha!
  • You are a great sleeper, thank you Lord!  You take a morning nap lasting an hour, an afternoon nap lasting up to 3 hours, sometimes more.  You also go to sleep at 7 most nights and wake up around 7:30 or 8:00, but you are content to play in your crib until we come to get you!
  • So, you aren't the best of our eaters.  However, you LOVE sweets, love them.  Brownies, ice cream,  and cupcakes are your favorite, not that we have given them to you very often.  Okay, we have been celebrating lots of birthdays this summer.
  • Among other things you do like are scrambled eggs, pbj, mac and cheese, carrots, green beans, yo baby, watermelon, cantelope, and chicken nuggets.
  • Just after your birthday, we celebrated Carter's 5th birthday, and then Summer's 4th birthday.
  • In just a few days, we will celebrate Tilly's 3rd birthday.
  • Everyone is just growing up way too fast!
Story, what a delight you are and how very quickly you are growing up.  With great anticipation, we look forward to what the next 15 months will prove in your litte life.  We thank God for your good health and sweet heart.  Here you are on the table, where you climbed up all by yourself and according to that big smile, you were so very proud!  And just for the sake of tradition, here's the picture of our fabulous four!
I couldn't decide between the two, so I posted both of them!
We love you, Story!
