I apologize in advance for the obscene number of pictures on this post, but as you will soon see, the pictures tell a story. I love this time of year. We do not do a large number of decorations at our house due to the number of little people living in our home. That being said, our Christmas tree is definitely the main event. I insist on having a live one, and thankfully, David is sweet to go along with me each year! I never had a fake tree growing up, so the live ones are special to me, and they smell wonderful. The pictures below tell of our successful hunt for the perfect tree to take home on the weekend after Thanksgiving. We had so much fun trimming the tree together. I am thankful for the traditions that are in the make for our little family.
Daddy and the girls walking into Lowe's.
On the hunt for the perfect tree.
Tilly all smiles in the buggy.
We think we have found the perfect tree!
Best buddies! Our tree is about to get wrapped up so we can take it home.
Tree placed on top of our white car with the help of Daddy and the Lowe's boys. Daddy and his helpers bringing the tree inside. When David went out to get the tree, Carter started running through the house shouting, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!" It was too sweet! Our tree safely placed in its stand waiting to be decorated. Daddy putting the star on the tree. According to Carter, this had to be done first. Our Christmas countdown calendar. Tilly is so excited about the tree. These two have loved our nativity snow globe that plays "O Little Town of Bethlehem." O, Christmas Tree; O, Christmas Tree! How lovely are your branches!

Our stockings! So fun to think we will be adding one more to the bunch next Christmas!
