Up on housetop. . .

Up on the housetop reindeer pause
Out jumps good old Santa Clause
Down through the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little ones
Christmas joys.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Who wouldn't go!
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Who wouldn't go!
Up on the housetop, click, click, click!
Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick!

As a child, I took piano lessons for many years, and this was one of my favorite Christmas songs to play on the piano. It has such a fun and upbeat tune. Truthfully, we have not made a big deal about Santa Claus at Christmas. We do, however, make a BIG deal about Jesus and His birthday. This past Sunday at our church though, we celebrated breakfast with Santa. The children's favorite, pancakes, were served and they had the opportunity to visit with Saint Nick himself. Carter has warmed up the most to Santa. Summer and Tilly say, "No thank you!" And well, Story, she just doesn't know to be afraid, so she gladly sat in Santa's lap for a picture.
I love this look on Tilly's face because it clearly states how she is feeling about this whole Santa thing. Get me out of here!
Story checking out the man in the bright red suit.
She held on tightly to his gloved hand and even tried to eat him at one point!
The fabulous four with Santa. Notice how far away Tilly and Summer are standing. In fact, the only way I could get Tilly to stand up there was to give her a candy cane to hold onto. Parents will do anything for a picture, huh?

Carter and Summer posing together. I think Summer is looking over his shoulder to make sure Santa's not coming any closer, ha!
