A day with the family.

Saturday morning, David taught a Leadership seminar at the church, while the children and I spent time in the cabin.  Once he was done, we met him to ride to Alpharetta to meet my family for the day.  On the way, we stopped at one of our favorite places to eat, Willy's.  We don't have those in MS.  In fact, when we told the children we were going to Georgia for a visit, the first thing Carter said, "Oh, good!  We can eat at Willy's!"  Too funny.
After lunch, we met my mom and Hart at Northpoint Mall to let the children play for a while and ride the train.

Then, we headed over to their hotel, so the children could swim.  They were most excited about swimming in the middle of the fall.  Thank goodness for an indoor pool!  After a swim, we ate supper at the hotel restaurant.  It was delicious!  Then, we celebrated David's birthday, since we will be with his family over Thanksgiving break this year.

I have to tell a funny story about David's birthday present.  That night, once we were back at our cabin, Carter said, "Mommy, when Daddy goes to heaven, I'm going to get that yellow box with his watch!" What!  Not sure what I think about that, ha!  It was great to spend the day with my family.
Story had such a fun time, she was OUT within minutes of us leaving.  You know a girl's tired when she can't even finish her bag of cookies!
