I took these pictures of Story yesterday in an effort to get her teeth. They were just too cute not to post!
She has the cutest mouth.
And the brightest eyes.
And the cutest little nose.
If you click on the picture and enlarge it, you can actually see her bottom teeth. In this picture, she is looking and smiling at her big brother.
This month has been so full of fun, laughter, growth, and changes for you. So many firsts have taken place for you this month, and truthfully, you are just growing up right before our very eyes.
Here are some things you are up to at 5 months:
- You wear size 6-9 month clothing.
- You wear size 2-3 diapers.
- During the day, you eat 7 ounces of formula mixed with rice cereal every 3 hours.
- You began eating your first solids this month. We started out with rice cereal, but this weekend, we are making you some sweet potatoes.
- You gave up your nighttime bottle, so we feed you your last bottle at 7ish and then you sleep until between 7-8 the next morning.
- You have two teeth! They both came in on the bottom on the same weekend.
- We took a road trip to Tennessee this month to see some friends from seminary. You traveled beautifully in the car!
- You spent your first night in a hotel room while were in Tennessee.
- You have traveled to a few more states: Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
- You are still rolling all over the place.
- You still love the swing.
- You have begun to sit with us at the supper table in your high chair, and you seem to enjoy that. You make really funny eyes at all the food we are eating, and I think you would eat it right up if we let you!
- You love to look at your reflection in the mirror. When we stop and look at the one in the hallway, you smile really big at yourself. It's so sweet.
- You take two really good naps during the day and sometime a cat nap in the evenings before your last bottle.
- You love to sit in your bumbo chair. We put you on the floor in the kitchen, so your siblings can get to you. They love it when you come home from Miss Jeanne's every day, so they can play with you!
We spend our Saturdays at Marathon Park watching Carter and now Summer play soccer. You have been a real trooper.
This month we also had 3 very special visitors all the way from Arkansas. Court, Juie, and Lincoln came to spend a weekend with us in September. Our camera was still out of commission, so we "borrowed" these precious pictures from Juie.
It was a crazy, busy weekend, but fun was had by all. Even if the dawgs lost to the hogs. Oh, the dawgs, that's another post for another day because boy, are they having a hard time this season. We still love them though. Maybe if we practice calling the dawgs some more, it will help them out.
Daddy fed you rice cereal for the first time this month. You LOVED it, loved it. You kept grabbing the spoon and reaching for the rice. I can't wait to see what you do with sweet potatoes and yo-baby! You are gonna love it!
I took this picture of you this week with your new hat made by our friend, Miss Becky.
Happy 5 month birthday, Baby Story. We sure do love you a whole bunch, all of us!
And I'll leave you with a picture of all four, as they each seem to change every month!
