Team Italy, take one.

Those closest to us know that our camera is in the shop, so it is taking me longer with blog posts these days because we are using the trusty 35 mm. I won't mention any names, but the oldest, biggest kid in our house dropped it, accidentally of course! Several important events have taken place in the life of our family over the last few weeks that I will post as I have pictures available. Most recently captured on film is Carter's first soccer game. For Carter's age group, Team Italy is divided into several teams, so they play 3 on 3, which gives everyone (hopefully) a chance to touch the ball. Carter did great and had a blast. He even scored. . .in the opposing team's goal!
Here's our cute little soccer player lined up with some of his teammates.
Here he is moving the ball down the field, the correct way this time!
Daddy stood on the field in order to help keep the game going. Mommy and the girls cheered from the sidelines. That's quite a story in itself.
Yes, we bribed Summer and Tilly with candy in order to keep them seated during the game. I know, shame! But, a momma's got to do, what a momma's got to do. This worked until our soccer player realized what was going on and kept running over in the middle of the game begging for food.
Besides, look how happy it made them!
You will hear more about Story in an upcoming post, but she is our rock star baby. She is so very content and easy-going, thank you, Lord! She looks so big to me sitting in the umbrella stroller. I think she likes being able to look out and see all the action.
However, after a full tummy and the gentle breeze, she didn't last very long! Overall, I would say our first soccer game was quite successful. We have been out of town the last two Saturdays, so we will hit the fields again tomorrow. I am sure there will be something to blog about. After all, getting all 6 of us to and from the field is quite an adventure in itself, so worth it though!
