Story is ONE month old!

Story, you are one month old today! Whew, the month has gone by so fast, for the most part. In some moments, it seems like you have been a part of our O'Dell party forever. Regardless of the time or how long you have been ours, we are smitten with you, sweet girl. Now, if you would just give up that last middle of the night feeding, we would be almost perfect, ha! Story, we love you and are so thankful for you. In the words of your big sister, "You sure are precious!" Look at what you are doing at one month of age:
  • You weigh 10 lbs 8 oz (80%) and are 22 inches long (75%).
  • Here's how you compare to your brother and sisters at one month: Tilly was 9 lbs 13 oz, 21 1/2 inches; Summer was 11 lbs 11 oz, 23 1/4 inches; and Carter was 12 lbs, 23 inches.
  • During the day you eat between 3 1/2 - 4 ounces every 3 hours. When you eat, you like to hold onto my fingers with your little hands. I love it!
  • During the night, you wake once to eat the same amount after sleeping between 5-6 hours.
  • You take between 3-4 naps each day, with your longest being while everyone else naps too. Mommy and Daddy are really thankful for this!
  • You like the pacifier, but only when we are trying to make it to the next feeding and you wake early.
  • You like to be swaddled at night, but we are thinking you might be ready to give it up because you like to have your hands around your face. In fact, last night we tried the sleep sack instead of the swaddle and you did great!
  • You have been to church two times now and for several trips around town in the car. You seem to like your car seat fine.
  • You love your play mat and your swing.
  • We think you are going to be quite a talker once you know some words. Right now, you make lots of sweet cooing noises and murmurs. It is so sweet to listen to you!
  • You have had a babysitter twice now: Miss Erica and Miss Amy came over to watch you so we could have Carter's birthday party, and Miss Courtney came over to watch you so we could take your brother and sisters to Jump for Joeys.
  • Right now your eyes are dark blue and your hair is light brown, almost strawberry blond. We think it is going to be curly like Carter's because when it is wet after a bath it is quite wavy.
  • So far, everyone thinks you look like your big brother, Carter. He loves to hear people say that!
  • You love to snuggle with Mommy and Daddy, right up under our chins. We love it too!
  • You are loved so so so much by Daddy, Mommy, Carter, Summer, and Tilly!

I like this one because you can see your baby blues and hair.
I love this one because it shows your sweet dimple! Have I mentioned how much I love dimples? I can't wait until you are smiling all the time, so I can see it more! We love you, sweet girl!

I love the dimple too since I have one in the same place. Also do you remember that Zoie likes to rub your pinkie when she is tired and going to sleep. It is sweet that they have mannerisms in common. Can't wait to see her again. love you all.
